Tiffany & Co were de rigueur jewellers in the 1920 with lavish modern designs and prominent clients. F Scott Fitzgerald was a regular customer , even commissioning pieces to be made for him so it is no wonder Catherine Martin had just this grand 170 year old company in mind when designing standout pieces for Daisy Buchanan and the rest of the glittering stars, including J Gatsby’s impeccable signet ring. By working closely with Tiffany designers and delving into the extensive archives to research the era, Catherine and Tiffany have produced a stunningly beautiful collection that breathes all the dazzling excess and Art Deco style of the Jazz Age.
The jeweller held a little soiree at their Sydney CBD store to celebrate the opening of The Great Gatsby collaboration on Sunday afternoon. The craftsmanship , care and the diamonds that have gone into making this collection are just incredible. That headpiece is so amazing close up and I fell deeply in love with the Lucida cut Art Deco bezel diamond ring surrounded by sapphires (hint hint boyfriend)!
You can check out the collection at the Sydney CBD outpost of Tiffany’s – the exhibition is now open to the general public and I urge you to go and daydream on the beauty of these Roaring Twenties pieces.
Thank you Tiffany & Co for having me !
